Austin is 11 weeks old today, goodness!! This past work week he slept 8 hours each night, yay :) We had a great weekend this past weekend --- we had friends over on Saturday night and Rob made taquitos; Sunday we went to church and sunday school and then went to stone mountain for a picnic with my parents. It was such a pretty day. They LOVE Austin in the nursery - they fight over who gets to hold him, it's really cute! The past few days Austin has figured out how to pick toys up and put them in his mouth and he's LOVING his playmat and bouncer -- he hits and kicks at the toys and smiles, it's so much fun to watch him!!! I think that's all for this week :)

Lots to update. Firstly, check out the pictures, we've taken quite a few cute pictures, so go check them out :) I had my first day of work last Monday, and i did pretty good! well, mom did bring Austin up for lunch to see me, so that helped alot. It's worked out really good so far with mom and Rob watching Austin, the time is split in half almost, it's work well with mom's schedule and rob's work schedule. And they've brought him up for lunch every other day or so :) Everyone at work thinks he looks just like Rob ;) oh, and the day before i had to go back to work it snowed 5 inches!! I can't belive it - so Austin has already seen his first snow. This past weekend Rob and I did our spring cleaning - we got the backyard cleaned up and the pool uncovered and cleaned and the whole inside cleaned inside and out, even gone thru clothes and closests, etc. And then we went took Tally and Austin to stone mountain and got a seasons pass. I showed rob the duck pond and carrollin that grandmomma used to always take us to. We had such a great time just getting out as a family.

Austin had his 2 month appointment last week and he is one healthy boy :) He's in the 90% for both height and weight. He's now 14.5 lbs and 23 1/2 inches long and his head is 41 1/2 cm. He had his first roudn of shots, poor guy, he was quite the trooper, but when we got home he ran a fever for the weekend and was quite fussy and just watned to be held. We let him sleep with us for a few days :) he doesn't have to go back again until he's 4 months old.

This week we've gotten into a better routine.. i come home from work and ususally feed Austin, then we all (rob too if he's not working!) go outside and play in the backyard (austin swings on his little swing!) and then we take a walk together, then by that time it's around 630 pm and Austin and I spend time together and play in his room with his toys. Then i let him have crib time while i get his bath ready and get his clothes and bottles ready for the next day (rob is making supper at this time :)), then around 7 Austin gets his bath and then we read a book, eat and he goes to sleep. This seemed to work great this past week!! And i loved getting outside when it's nice and i get to spend some quality time with all my boys :)

Austin is such a ham, he's now starting to look at books, and laugh at you and coo and make crazy cute noises! He's such a happy baby. he could look at his mobile in his crib all day long, so cute :) and he just found his hands this past week, and loves putting them in his mouth and loves pushing you away from him, lol! ooh, and he's slept 8 hours in a row the past 2 nights, yay!!!

Well, Austin will be 8 weeks old in a few days, and I have to go back to work on Monday. I've been busy trying to get everything on my to do list completed before I go back, but I've also spent alot of time with Austin, bc I know that I won't get nearly as much time with him once I'm back at work. Having mixed feelings, I've decided I could totally be a stay at home mom, but that obviously won't be happening anytime soon!! Well, not much to update about Austin... hmm, he's now sleeping between 5-7 hours at night, usually around 6, which we are very blessed for him to be doing this so young. He's also starting to smile alot and loves playing in his crib. Back from Texas...

Well, we've had a busy past few weeks. Last week we took our trip to texas. We flew out on Friday and Austin did great, he slept the whole plane ride. We had a great time seeing Rob's family and seeing them meet Austin --- of course they all think he looks just like Rob! Austin got to meet his black grandma (rob's mom), big daddy (rob's dad) and his great-grandma on rob's side!! He also got to meet Charlee and Taylor, his cousins. Charlee just turned 6 months old --- she was so cute wacthing Austin, but austin is still too little to even notice her! Taylor helped us out alot with Austin :) we are exhausted from our trip, it was so busy just trying to fit in seeing everyone everyday, hopping from house to house -- Austin was a trooper, but it's taken a few days to get him back on schedule. Aunt Janis took us shopping and got Austin the cutest clothes, so he doesn't have to be a naked boy this summer :) Ang and rob's dad threw a meet the baby shower for us with all of Rob's friends, we had a great time! And Austin was such a good boy, he didn't fuss the whole time during the shower. On the way back to the airport we stoped by the dallas cowboys stadium so we could get austin and daddy's picture taken before it was torn down!!


Austin had his one month check-up (well, he was 5 weeks old) a few days ago and here are his stats:

Birth: 5 weeks:
8 lbs 7 1/2 oz 12 1/2 lbs. (95th percentile)
20 1/2 inches 23 inches (90th percentile)
head-36 cm head - 39 cm (i think!) (75th percentile)

So, he is growing like a weed! I also had my postop appointment a few days ago and dr. kleiss said i looked really good and was healing nicely. I only have 5 lbs. to go to get back to my original weight, i can't beleive it came off so fast! I still can't work out for a few more weeks, but i can drive and start picking up heavier things. My incision is healing nicely. (this picture is of dr.kleiss, the best doctor ever!!)

On friday we visited work for the first time. It was nice seeing everyone!!! We got to show off Austin and had lunch with my department.

Austin absolutly LOVES bathtime now. He just sits in the water and looks around -- it relaxes him. We've started to get him into a routine of giving him a bath at night, then feeding him and reading him a book until he falls asleep. He's started sleeping 4-5 hours now during the night for the most part, which we are very excited about!! He also smiled for the first time the other day, and he's been doing it ever since, but only for just a second, i can't catch a pic of it yet. and he's rolled on his side a few times now, i couldn't believe it -- he's such a big boy!

We just got the pictures back that Tim (our wedding photographer) took for us. They turned out soooo cute! I can't believe how much he's grown already, these pics were taken when he was 12 days old. We've posted all these pics and the pics from Texas!!

Visiting the Great-Grandmas :)

Austin will be 4 weeks tomorrow! We've had a big week, he got to meet both of my grandmothers, his great grandmothers!! quite exciting :) My grandmother in florida (dad's mom) came up for a funeral, so we ate supper with her this weekend. Then, today we drove to Elberton to see my grandmomma (mom's mom).
We're starting to try and get him on some sort of routine, and it's going pretty well. I starting pumping last week and Austin is getting one bottle a day in the afternoon, and he's done quite well so far, I'm really proud of him. He better get used to it since I'm going back to work soon. We've started giving him a bath when he is awake in the evening and then play with him and read to him, and he's been going to bed and the first few nights he woke up and stayed up for a few hours from around 930-1130 pm, but these past few nights he wake up to feed around 11ish give or take and falls back asleep -yay!! we'll see how long that lasts :) We are going to visit Rob's family in Texas this weekend, his aunt Janis got us a flight. We are really excited for everyone to meet him. I'm sure we will come home with MANY pictures and stories. Rob started work this past week, so we are getting used to that again- just random hours on random days, which is good. We went to my parent's for superbowl sunday (well, Rob had to go to work!) and he wore his cowboys outfit.We've had to wash quite a few clothes this past week, Austin has decided it's funny to pee or poop as soon as we are in the middle of changing his diaper! Ooh, exciting news -- Austin has now spent 4 nights in his big boy bed (his crib in HIS room!!) and only woken up every 3-4 hours, amazing!!! He sleeps much better in it, and we sleep much better. One night last week we got no sleep because Austin thought it was fun to make noises all night in his sleep, so we kept jumping up thinking he was ready to get up, but he was dead asleep the whole time. I got my haircut this week, got it all choped off!! It's been 9 months since I've cut it, I feel so much better again. Rob starting calling me a hippie :)

Our first family photo!

Our baby is already 3 weeks old today-- it seems like just yesterday, yet like forever already. We are loving being parents and still have such a good baby. Don't get me wrong, he definately has his fussy moments, but he's not a big crier yet. His cord fell off almost a week ago now and he's had a few baths, which he loves!! He loves the warm water to be splashed onto him. We will try to take video on our camera in the next few days to post. I've been going stir crazy the past few days now that I'm finally starting to feel better and can move around more, and so we went and saw a movie a few days ago, and Austin didn't even wake up! Grandma sat and held him the whole time :) And we went out to supper, which he also slept thru - yay!!! It warmed up for 2 days, so we've gone on short walks, only for a few minutes. That's all I can do right now. That's really all we've ventured to do so far, I still get worn out so easily and still can't pick anything heavy up. Austin loves when Rob talks, he follows him with his eyes and just stares. it's cute :) And he now spends time on his playmat twice a day or so, and he'll lay on it for a good 10 minutes. Altho the pictures we just posted makes it look like he has redish hair because of the flash, it's not red at all -- it's coming in blonde!! Everytime we wash his hair, it gets fuzzier and blonder. His new favorite noise to make is a fussy sounding noise, but he makes it when he's happy or fussy -- lol, maybe he'll learn a new noise soon :) Well, he's waking up from his nap and is hungry, so I'll post more soon!!!
