Nursery Pictures - Yay!

Here's some pictures of the nursery finally... click here to see the rest. I've now just got to wash clothes and we've got to finish staining the dresser and organize a few things. Other than that, I think we are ready to go :)

And here's me at 36 weeks - ooh my goodness!!! And another one of Talladega- we let him sniff and play with Austin's toys so he will get used to them. He thought it would be fun to try and suck on the pacifier, but learned quickly they were not his.


We are almost done with Christmas shopping. I think that's all that's going on right now :)

36 Week appointment

I just posted a post that I wrote before thanksgiving, but accidentally saved but didn't post... it'll pretty much bring you up to date.

Thanksgiving was fun, it was great to see our family! Rob's dad didn't get to come last minute, so he's going to try and come for Christmas! I am finished with school for the semester and I got 2 A's again, yay!! I'll be taking off the spring for when Austin arrives, but then going back in the summer. Rob got on show call for the Nutcracker, so he's has work every single day the past few weeks- which is awesome!!! We've got all the baby's things put together, still haven't taken pictures, but i will this weekend - now I have sooo much more time that school is finished and now that we've finished with all the projects with the house (well, for awhile at least :)). We aren't getting a tree for Christmas this year, but we are putting up the nativity scene and a few other things - we didn't want to put up too much since we don't know when baby stafford is arriving.

On the baby front, I haven't been sleeping very well, waking up every hour, my back is hurting very very badly and I have to pee every hour! Thank goodness my sweet husband is getting me a massage for my 25 bday next week- yay!!!! We had our 36 week appointment today, and it went well, except I've now gained almost 30 pounds --- but i blame it on eating alot and drinking alot this morning :) ... ooh well! He's still measuring early, but they couldn't tell me anything today about when they think he might arrive.. booo. Pretty much, he'll come when he wants to :) My family and friends at work are guessing between Christmas and New Years -- but I'm trying not to get my hopes up incase it's longer than that!

Showers Weekend!

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted, so I've got a little bit to update... We had our 32 week appointment almost 2 weeks ago and I met another doctor in the practice who might be there for my delivery. It was a quick visit - I've gained 25 pounds, which I feel like is a ton, but the doctor said that is good. I get sharp pains randomly and i was squishing the baby or something, but the doctor felt around and said he's already getting in position, his head is way far down, which is why i can't bend!! And his booty is on the right side of me and he never moves from that spot -argg!!!

It's been really busy here, Rob's still been working a ton and I've been really busy with school. Only one more week of classes for me and then I get a long break. We've been running around like crazy (thanks mom and dad!!) to finish the baby's room and get the house ready for people to come for Thanksgiving. I'll take pictures of the baby's room this week and post them soon. The room is completely ready except for a dresser that rob is sanding and staining. And we have all the big projects done at the house- so now we can finally rest!!! I'll explain more ab the baby's room when i post pictures.

I had two showers thrown for me this past week, one at work and one at home. Thanks soo much to especially Laura and Irene for the shower at work and Jenn and Joy for the shower at my house. We had sooo many people come and support us and received many wonderful gifts - such a blessing, we were getting a little worried bc we had practically nothing until this weekend. Now we are almost ready to go! And stir-crazy me, I've already put together the stroller, swing, pack 'n play and baby exersaucer. and mom and i already organized everything to see what else we need to get and I've gone to babiesrus and gotten everything for the cars and the swing. yay!! We have the most amazing family and friends that were so giving and supportive. I've posted pictures of the shower on our picture site, so feel free to go look at them.

We are having 16 people over for Thanksgiving -- my mom's side of the family is coming, my brother and his wife and rob's dad -- we are sooo excited rob's dad and dog, sam, are coming to visit!!! so we'll have 5 people actually sleeping over at our house - we are excited that we can now fit everyone.

Our First Anniversary!!

Well, Monday, October 20 was our first anniversary, and we had the best anniversary ever! Rob made me my favorite supper, spaghetti and chicken, and we had chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows for dessert – yummm!! We ate one bite of our wedding cake topper, it was yucky, and the camera stopped working so we didn't even get a picture of it. And Bill and Beth gave us wine for the next 7 years to open on each anniversary, so we got to open our first one – that’s a pretty cool present! And we weren’t supposed to buy anything, but he bought me bath stuff so my back won’t hurt as bad – so sweet :) Then, this weekend we went to Gatlinburg to celebrate. We had the best time, even being almost 7 ½ months pregnant! We walked around the town and went to the aquarium, a haunted house, played putt-putt and ate good suppers (thanks mom and dad :)). We got our picture taken where we dressed up in the old time outfits, it’s pretty cool –I’ll try and scan the picture and post it soon. It was really nice to get away, we took a bunch of pictures going across the smoky mountains today. We also took a really long nap yesterday and laid around and watched tv, which is something we never get to do at home!!

I’ve finally taken pictures of the house, so click on the house pic. to go to our website to see them. It turned dark when I was taking the outside pictures, so I’m going to have to go back and take more. And, the camera is officially broken and unusable, so the pics didn’t turn out very well. Boo. We still have the finish the baby’s room and put more pictures and blinds up, but we’ll get to it all one day! Rob’s got off work for a few days until this weekend, so he’s going to start working on organizing the garage and fixing the baby’s room.

Our 28 appointment last week went really good, the doctor didn’t really have anything new to tell me though. I’ve gained 21 lbs., which the doctor said is right on, but it seems like so much! And the baby will be growing so much these next 12 weeks. We now have to go to the doctor every 2 weeks, which I’m not looking forward to! So, our 30 week appt. is on Thursday, but I don’t really think they are going to do anything. My sugar test came back really good and my iron level was good! We had a little scare last week – to make a long story short - on Tuesday night I didn’t feel Austin when I went to sleep and then I didn’t feel him for over 16 hours, so I ran to the doctors and they checked his heart and felt to make sure everything was okay. And he looked great, they said he might have just been turned a weird way and I have been taking too much Tylenol PM and so I haven’t been able to feel him. So I stopped taking the medicine and started feeling him again this weekend.

Rob and I were talking in the car, and we realized baby Austin has taken more trips already than most people ever have, lol – We found out we were pregnant in the middle of May, and since then we went to Texas in May, St. Thomas in June, Florida in July, the Dillard house (mountains) in September, Texas again in September, Gatlinburg in October and we are going to Charleston this next weekend – goodness!!! Soo, after this weekend, no more traveling for us for a very long time. We are exhausted and Austin doesn’t like the changes in pressure and it makes for the longest ride ever! It is making us so tired. And Rob has been such a trooper through all of this, best husband ever.

We had an open house for our condo today, and apparently 5 people came thru. If anyone knows anyone who wants to buy or rent a condo in a great location in Atlanta, let us know!!!!!!!!

26 week update

26 week update….
Sorry, it’s been awhile… I had my 24 week appointment two weeks ago and everything looked good. I had to do that sugar test, but I haven’t heard anything back yet, so we assume everything is okay. I had gained 4 more lbs. in 4 weeks, which is right on track, so I’ve gained 15 total so far!!

I am 26 weeks today, only 14 to go. Kinda exciting and kinda scary. Eli took a picture of me in the studio at work at 24 weeks, that’s the one posted in the gray shirt. And the other pictures are me today at 26 weeks! My mom and I went to motherhood maternity today and bought some long-sleeved shirts that are really cute. Motherhood maternity is like the Learner NY for pregnant people, yay!!!

Rob has been busy working, he was doing Les Mis at the Fox and next week he starts on Wicked. I now want to go see Wicked, thanks to Laura Jean for playing the soundtrack today!!! So while he was working, my mom and I put together the crib and changing table. Once the nursery is complete we will post pictures of it… lol, that might be awhile tho!! The crib is really nice looking – thanks to mom and dad for that. And we got our bedding, mom had bought some when Liam was visiting, and she let us have it – it’s animals, really cute! We’ve registered for extra stuff like window covers and pictures at target that go along with the bedding.


Funny Story ab Tally…
I think we are going to have a problem with Talladega being jealous! When we were putting together the crib, he was on top of us, trying to sit in my lap the whole time. Then he wanted to play under the crib. Then, the next day I heard him barking and whining like crazy, and I thought someone was at the door. But he was in the baby’s room with his paws on the crib, trying to get up in it (which he obviously couldn’t reach bc it’s too high up). So, I picked him up and put him in it so he could see and sniff around and he went crazy – smelling every blanket, digging under the covers, going in circles… after a few minutes of this, he lays on his back like it’s his bed, then he turned over and laid down with his head hanging off the side… it was the cutest ever (I’ve posted a picture of this too). I was worried that he might think it was his now, but I think he got the picture that it’s for the baby, bc he hasn’t gone back into the room since he discovered what was in there – he’s been a good boy!



Rob’s family…
Most of you probably already know, but incase you don’t, Rob’s grandpa passed away last week, so we had to fly to Dallas for the funeral. It was a short, crazy trip, traveling back and forth from Lufkin, to the funeral, and back to Dallas, but we were really glad to go and spend some time with his family, especially his dad. It pretty neat, everyone knew we were pregnant with a boy... we picked the name Austin Thomas because.. well, Austin, we just really liked! And Thomas is named after Rob's middle name, who was named after his grandpa's middle name (the one that just passed). So it's really neat that we will get to remember him through our baby. I really enjoyed getting to spend a lot of time with Angela, I hate being so far apart, she’s the closest thing I have to a sister! Rob got to spend a lot of time with his dad, which was great for both of them. Too bad Dallas and Atlanta are so far apart :(

One day soon I’ll post pictures of our house, just haven’t gotten around to it, sorry! Our anniversary is coming up in just a few weeks – we can’t believe its already been a year (lol, and sometimes we can’t believe only a year!) We are going to Gatlinburg for our anniversary, we are very excited!

Ooh, I was doing my homework the other day and I thought I saw my stomach move when the baby kicked… but then I would sit and watch it for 5 minutes and he wouldn’t move. So of course as soon as I looked away he kicked again… I think he thinks it’s a fun game. So then, this past weekend, Rob had his hand on my belly and he felt it kick for the first time, and he kicked pretty hard – it was really neat!!! Taylor was actually the first one too feel him, though – she was putting her hand on my belly and he kicked for her :) He went crazy on the airplane when we took off and landed – I don’t think he liked it very much and it made me sick – yuck.

We are still looking for a church, we are trying to buckle down and settle on one, we want our family to grow up in a good church family! We will keep you updated on what we find. I’ve also got my 28 week appointment in 2 weeks, and then after that I’ll have appts. Every 2 weeks --- booo. We also have my cousin, Thomas’, wedding in Charleston the last weekend in October, so we have a lot coming up this month! Then no more traveling for us until after the baby is born.

Well, I hope this gets everyone up-to-date (Bethy and Mom!!). And beth- thanks for posting the video, I’ve watched it like 3 times, Liam is so big and cute, I might have cried a little the first time I watched. :)

More Ultrasound pics

I had to go back to the doctor for an ultrasound on Monday so that they could look at his heart -- he was moving too much last time! They said that he is still measuring 6 days early (I was 22 weeks, 3 days and he was measuring 23 weeks, 2 days). He was 1 lb. and 3 oz. My mom went with me to the ultrasound, so it was pretty cool for her to see! Here are some pics from it...

Ultrasound, etc.

Here's an ultrasound picture of Austin at our 20 week appointment and me at 20 weeks!!

I've just really started feeling him this past week (21-22weeks), he moves alot!! It's the weirdest feeling tho, like someones punching me. kinda cute tho. He moved even more when Rob put his hand on my belly, but he couldn't feel it yet.

My mom and I went to babiesrus tonight to see what they have --- and boy it's alot! Rob and I are registering this weekend, so I wanted to get a head start. I did get a body pillow tonight, which is amazing.

Beth --- this post is for you :) And thanks for posting pics -- Liam is soooo cute!!! Here's a picture of Liam, my nephew who lives in Australia. He's 16ish months and the cutest ever :) (well, it looks like they actually got posted up top, I duno how to fix that sorry)

We are going out to eat for Robby's birthday tomorrow and are getting dressed up, so I'll try and post pictures afterwards.

It's a BOY!!!

I had my 20 week appointment this past Monday (sorry it's taken so long to post!) and we found out that we are having a boy :) We are really excited!! I think we've decided on the name Austin Thomas! Our appointment went really well-- we were able to talk to the doctor for a while and ask alot of questions. I've now gained 11 lbs. in 20 1/2 weeks, which is right on. We spent about 15 minutes with the ultrasound lady, she had to go thru each part of the body and make sure everything was okay --- it was really cool to see everything! But the baby kept turning (the doctor said he's like his momma ;)) and so i have to go back in 2 weeks and get another ultrasound so they can finish looking at his heart. I asked how certain they were it was a boy - and they said 100%!! My mom and I went shoping at Carter's and OshKosh afterwards, soo much cute stuff. The doctor said that he was measuring at 21 weeks and 2ish days, which is almost a week early... so Rob and I got really excited and asked if we might get a tax break afterall, and she laughed, looked at Rob, and said that we are prolly just going to have a big baby- after his daddy. It was pretty funny.

On another note, we went to the mountains with my whole family over labor day weekend -- we had a great time! I've also started school again, taking 2 classes. Rob just had his birthday and he got a Wii!

New Home!

Well, we closed on our home a little over a week ago, and are slowly but surely unpacking!! It's really starting to feel like home :) Rob (and my dad) have built a fence around the backyard, and Talladega is loving having a yard. Too bad now I am constantly thinking of organizing devices, etc. that we NEED that we can't really afford to get (lol, right Joy!!). Our condo has officially been on the market for 2 weeks now, we're hoping it won't take too long to sell (even tho we've heard it might take a while). We are having an open house for it on Sunday -- so if you know anyone that wants to buy a condo, send them our way!! We've got our doctors appointment next Monday... patiently waiting :) (really, unpatiently waiting). I took the GRE last weekend and I'm still waiting to see if I'm taking classes this fall - I hope so!

I am hoping since I am posting, the Beth might feel obligated to update her blog!!!

Tally's Bday :)

Wednesday was Talladega's 2nd birthday - I thought everyone would want to celebrate with us :) Rob got him some treats and two toys that he's been playing with like crazy. Well, this is all I really have to update for now.

16 week Doctor Visit!

I've gotten complaints to update this thing, but I never really have anything to say until the next doctor appointments. We were supposed to have our 16 week appointment last Friday, but the doctor had to postpone it until today. We were hoping to find out what we are having, but no such luck -- they aren't doing the sonogram until 20 weeks. We got to hear the heartbeat again, and it was 160, which is really strong! And they did more blood work today of course. I am starting to feel better, but still not eating to much. And I'm still pretty tired most the time -- poor Rob probably gets so bored having to go to bed so early! We've taken a few more pictures, so we will post them tomorrow. My belly is growing, but I've only gained one pound in four weeks -- a total of 7. lol, it wasn't a big amount, so I'm still sharing ;) On another note, our condo is going on the market this week, and we are closing on our house on August 8, less than two weeks away -- we are so excited!! And then I start back school in 3 weeks - which I'm not looking forward to, I've really enjoyed a break these past few weeks! Well, guess we will update in four weeks with what we are having!!!

Our First Post!

Hello Everyone (well, probably just family is going to be reading this!) -- Rob and I thought that this would be a good way to for our family in Texas to keep up with what is going on with their grandson to be... yes, we are having a baby :) We went to our 12 week apointment and got to hear the heartbeat and they said everything looked great, so we are telling everyone now! Tadpole Stafford is due on January 9, 2009. (we like to call him our little tadpole :)). So, now we are looking to move into a bigger house soon --- got lots going on. I guess to update on how the pregnancy is going so far... not very much fun yet! Well, at first it was so exciting, we found out at 5 weeks that we were pregnant (and yes, the rumors that I took like 7 tests in 3 days might be true!), but on week 7 I started getting really bad morning sickness ALLLLL day long. and that's lasted very badly until the past week or so. Now I'm extremely tired and don't know how I make it through the long days. The doctor said this should all be easing up soon... so I am waiting, very impatiently! Rob was really excited about getting pregnant, he bought me flowers when we found out and he's been the best husband ever putting up with me. ooh, and I've gained 6 lbs. in 12 weeks, even without being able to keep very much down, so the doctor said that was good --- lol, if I gain too much, I'll prolly stop announcing how much it is. you can go to www.picasaweb.google.com/laurae.williamson and look at pictures -- we are trying to post a belly shot every 2 weeks or so --- and boy it's already getting big! We won't find out for 7 1/2 more weeks what the baby is --- we all think it's a boy though. A girl would be fun too, they're so cute :) I guess this is all we have for now, will update more later.
